State Representative Heather Matson has spent the last 25 years working and volunteering as a public policy advocate, community leader, state legislator, and development professional. She is passionate about building community, connections, and civic engagement in every aspect of her work. Heather believes that House District 42 deserves a state legislator who is a partner in good governance, who leads with a civic mindset, and who listens to understand, not simply to respond.
Education
Heather has a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Western New England College in Springfield, MA and a Master of Arts in Legislative Affairs from The George Washington University in Washington, DC.
The off year caucuses are our time to choose our county leadership and organize the county party, events, publicity, and outreach. Regaining control of the state starts with each one of us!
Please come and be part of the BCD by volunteering to assist with an event, being an officer or taking on a task at the county level, and learning how to make a difference at the local, county, and state level.
There is something for everyone!
We will hold the caucuses first, which helps us select representatives for each precinct, and then move to organizing ourselves and our events and community involvement for the coming year.
